Créajeune Cross-Border Youth Film Competition Returns for its 18th Edition
The 18th edition of the Créajeune cross-border youth film competition is set to commence, inviting young filmmakers from the Greater Region to participate. This competition, organized by a cross-border network consisting of Saarland Film Office e.V., Ligue de l'Enseignement/FOL Moselle, Rencontres Documentaires de l'IRTS de Lorraine, EuRegio SaarLorLux, and the Regionalverband Saarbrücken, will award the best entries at festivals in Saarbrücken, Metz, and Luxembourg.
Who Can Participate?
The competition is open to children up to 12 years old, youth aged 13 to 17, and young adults aged 18 to 29. Eligible films include feature films, documentaries, animations, experimental films, or music videos, as long as they have been produced in 2024 or 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, participants must adhere to the following criteria:
- Fall within the designated youth age categories.
- Reside in or originate from the cross-border regions involved (Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate, Lorraine, Luxembourg, and Wallonia).
- Submit original short films that meet the competition’s thematic and technical criteria.
- Ensure that the films have been completed within the specified timeframe to maintain originality.
