Tianna and Keoni Krause's Maui Home: A Tech-Savvy Haven

Tianna and Keoni Krause, a dynamic couple from Maui, Hawaii, have transformed their six-acre property into a tech-savvy haven. The Krauses purchased the land in August 2020 and have since built several structures, including a cottage, a barn, a she-shed, and a large garage.

The main event, however, is their newly constructed home, a project that would become the biggest home undertaking for Derek Pace's company, Certified Sound. Pace, an expert in home audio and technology, was hired to handle the installation in 2025.

The Krause home boasts a sleek design, with PowerShades motorized shades that blend seamlessly when raised. The living room on the main floor is the heart of the home, housing a 98-inch Sony TV and Bowers & Wilkins in-ceiling speakers. The family room downstairs is equally impressive, featuring a pool table, two TVs, a karaoke setup, and more Bowers & Wilkins in-ceiling speakers.

The home's technology is not just limited to the living areas. The whole-home audio system includes seven zones of distributed audio, powered by the URC HDA-8100 and Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series in-ceiling speakers. The lighting control is managed by a Lutron RA-3 system, ensuring a seamless transition between day and night.

The Krause family's main home also houses a state-of-the-art home theater. This separate, soundproofed room features a Sony 98-inch TV, Marantz Cinema 30 AV receiver (to be upgraded to Marantz AV20 and AMP20 separates), Bowers & Wilkins 700 Series in-wall and in-ceiling speakers, and JL Audio SYS208 in-wall subwoofers. The system integrates with Autonomic and the Krause's preferred streaming source, allowing them to access music anywhere in the home with ease.

Despite the technological advancements, the Krause family remains grounded. They continue to host dinners and parties, sharing their home with others. Tianna runs the family's painting business with the knowledge of building several structures from the ground up, while Keoni, along with his business partner, Rey Cotto, have started a contracting business to help with the rebuilding of Lahaina.

The construction on the Krause home was set to begin in August 2023, but was halted due to Maui wildfires. Fortunately, the fires did not reach their property, and the Krause family offered assistance to those affected, providing shelter and supplies.

The Krause family moved into their main house about a year ago, with family members moving into the cottage. Despite the challenges they've faced, the Krause home stands as a testament to their resilience and love for technology.
