Trees lining Görresstrasse temporarily serve as parking spots
Starting September 22, 2025, the city of Lippstadt will initiate comprehensive tree care works in Görresstraße. This initiative aims to enhance traffic safety and contribute to the long-term preservation of the trees lining the street.
Christian Kleineheilmann, head of the Green Spaces, Playgrounds, and Sports department, has emphasised the importance of these works. The order for these works was given by the local municipal authorities or the city’s environmental department.
During the works, some parking spaces in sections of Görresstraße will be closed. However, it's important to note that no felling of trees is necessary during this work in Görresstraße. Instead, approximately 100 trees will receive professional pruning and dead wood removal.
The city of Lippstadt requests understanding from residents and road users regarding the necessary measures. The tree care works are expected to be completed by September 26, 2025, after which the parking spaces in Görresstraße will be available again.
These works are not just about immediate safety but also about the long-term health and beauty of Görresstraße's tree-lined boulevard. The city looks forward to the successful completion of these works and the continued vibrancy of this beloved street.
