Swimming Pool Season Returns with a Twist: Introducing the 'RespectFries' Campaign

As the warm weather arrives, it's time once more for swimming pool season, and along with it, the popular swimming pool fries. This year, however, an innovation comes with them - a push for respect and a relaxed atmosphere for everyone.

NEW, a swimming pool operator, has spearheaded a nationwide 'RespectFries' campaign for the swimming season, aiming to set a standard for respectful interaction. The swimming pool fries will now act as ambassadors for respect, using the 'Frittiquette' to humorously lay down clear behavioral guidelines. Slogans such as "Don't be a hollow fry" and "We push bullying aside" are examples of the campaign's approach.

The German Swimming Association serves as the patron for this campaign. Over 80 swimming pools across Germany are participating, including Bad Ransberg in Dülken, Stadtbad in Viersen, and Freibad Dorenburg Grefrath. More outdoor and swimming pools are joining regionally to make a nationwide impact.

Visual aids such as posters, stickers, napkins, and fry boxes designed for the 'RespectFries' campaign have been created to provide a fun and non-preachy approach. "We are happy if our pool guests join in and participate in various activities," says Armin Brückner, pool manager at NEW.

On another note, Southern Cross University has launched the 'Consent Comes with F.R.I.E.S' campaign, which uses a fun and engaging approach that includes free fries to promote affirmative consent and safe relationships. However, this campaign is unrelated to swimming pools or Germany.

The 'RespectFries' campaign is set to make waves in swimming pools across the country, encouraging a more enjoyable and respectful experience for all.

In collaboration with the campaign, other outdoor-living establishments, such as home-and-garden spaces like parks and gardens, are encouraged to adopt the 'RespectFries' philosophy, promoting a harmonious lifestyle for all. As the 'RespectFries' campaign gains traction, it's hoped that its influence will extend beyond swimming pools, fostering a culture of respect nationwide.
