In the picturesque setting of Prior Lake, Lance Anderson, the founder of Admit One Home Systems, has created an exceptional gathering space for his family home. The 4,700-square-foot abode, grounded in mountain-modern architecture, boasts a curated palette of wood, blackened steel, and stone, and offers panoramic views of the water.
The great room, a central hub of the home, emphasizes fire elements. A linear Enlight fireplace, with a 100-inch gas fireplace perfectly nestled within an Orijin stone wall, serves as the key feature. The stone accent wall, also housing a 100-inch TV, travels throughout the house, adding a touch of consistency to the design.
Lance's vision for the home was to create an "off the hook" space, a term that echoes the excitement and vibrancy he wanted to infuse into the property. To achieve this, he partnered with Mikan Custom Homes, Murphy & Co. Design, and Stellar by Heat & Glo.
The collaboration resulted in a unique design, with the television and fireplace on the same plane. This feature, made possible by partnering with Stellar, ensures an uninterrupted visual experience, whether one is watching a movie or enjoying the dancing flames of the fireplace.
The design requires industry-leading engineering and heat management to ensure the TV and speakers function safely near the fireplace. The fireplace's back-lit, blackened steel surround features custom-cut openings, adding a contemporary touch to the traditional stone wall.
Another standout feature of the home is an indoor waterfall, greeting guests as they ascend the staircase. The photography of the home was done by Herder Photography, capturing the beauty and elegance of the property.
The home's exterior and interior design elements harmoniously blend with the natural surroundings. Seven-foot speakers flank the stone accent wall, adding to the ambiance of the space.
