Solingen's Bear's Hollow Hosts Composting Info Day on May 25

Residents of Solingen are invited to an Information Day at the Bear's Hollow recycling center this Saturday, May 25th. The event, organized by the Technical Operations of Solingen, will focus on compost, compost products, and bio-bins. Visitors can learn about the local green waste compost, which is a key component of the offered compost products 'Blütezeit' and 'Querbeet'.

The Information Day will run from 8:00 AM to 12:15 PM, providing an opportunity for residents to understand the composting process and its benefits. The green waste compost offered by TBS is completely local, coming from waste collected by Solingen residents themselves. Visitors can also take home compost soil for free, provided they bring their own containers. The Technical Operations will inform about the green waste container and bio-bins, and the Consumer Center Solingen will advise on composting in your own garden.

The event promises to be engaging and informative, with a quiz offering a small surprise for participants. Refreshments will be served in the 'Garden Café', with coffee, tea, and cookies available. Additionally, packaged compost products and bark will be offered at a discount on this day only.

The Information Day at the Bear's Hollow recycling center is an excellent opportunity for Solingen residents to learn about composting, its benefits for the climate and environment, and how they can contribute to the process. With free compost soil, informative sessions, a quiz, and refreshments, the event promises to be both educational and enjoyable.
