Snapshots of Wiesbaden's 2025 Scene
Get ready, photography enthusiasts! The 13th edition of Wiesbaden Photo Days is set to return from August 23rd to September 7th, 2025, bringing a vibrant celebration of the art form to the heart of Germany.
First launched in 2002, Wiesbaden Photo Days has established itself as one of the oldest continuous photography festivals in the country, taking place every three years. This year, the event will kick off at the Walkmühle artist association, with an opening event starting at 7:00 PM on August 23rd, featuring the presentation of the "Jury Prize".
The festival program is designed to create a space for exchange and interaction between participants and the festival audience. A highlight of the opening weekend will be the Artist Encounters day on August 24th, dedicated to dialogue with artists. The Artist Dialogue Day will take place from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM on August 24th, starting at Kunstverein Bellevue-Saal and ending at Künstlerverein Walkmühle.

The theme of Wiesbaden Photo Days 2025 is "Future? What Future?" and an exhibition on this theme will be held at the Kunsthaus. Additionally, the exhibition venues for the event include Active Museum Spiegelgasse, Forum Edu at Wiesbaden Museum, Women's Museum, Rubrecht Contemporary Gallery, Kunsthaus Wiesbaden, Kunstverein Bellevue Hall, Künstlerverein Walkmühle, and City Museum at the Market.
The festival program includes guided tours, artist talks, films, a lecture by Lena Papasabbas, and a panel discussion.
