Service hours at Bremen BürgerServiceCentres - Customer assistance needed to alleviate staff wait times
Expansion and Reorientation of Bremen's Citizen Service Centers
Starting from July 31st, the Citizen Service Centers in Bremen will offer open office hours twice a week. This move is part of a reorientation and expansion of the appointment offers, with a focus on changes of address.
The high demand for this service has led to lines of waiting people that sometimes stretch around several building corners. To address this issue, the online change of address service is expected to provide more availability for other matters once it becomes available.
Since its introduction, the change of address service has been well-received, with 1,583 citizens taking advantage of it so far. However, some users are mistakenly registering businesses or seeking immigration advice, which is not provided at the Citizen Office.
For citizens with an urgent time constraint, there's an alternative option. They can write to the Citizen Service Centers via their respective email addresses for prompt responses. The emergency email addresses are: , , and .
To encourage online appointments and reduce waiting times, posters with barcodes will be displayed at the entrance of the centers.
Starting next week, customer guides will begin to provide quick clarification and information for various cases. These guides will be deployed at the latest by August 28th to provide information, answer questions, and support certain groups of people.
However, as of the current data, there are no publicly available official customer guides or announcements about deployment, services, hours, or emergency email contacts specific to Bremen Citizen Service Centers starting from August 28th, 2025.
It is recommended to check the official Bremen government website or Bremen Citizen Service Centers' official communication channels shortly before or on August 28th for the most accurate and up-to-date details.
The online change of address service is still in progress, with technical issues being addressed by Dataport. The BSC-Mitte, BSC-Stresemannstraße, and BSC-Nord's open office hours are as follows:
- BSC-Mitte: Mondays from 1 pm to 6 pm and Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 12:30 pm
- BSC-Stresemannstraße: Mondays from 1 pm to 4:45 pm and Wednesdays from 7 am to 11:45 am
- BSC-Nord: Mondays from 1 pm to 4:45 pm and Wednesdays from 7:30 am to 11:45 am
