Return of Alexandria Restaurant Week, Aug 22-31, featuring close to 90 eateries
Alexandria Restaurant Week is set to return this summer, running from August 22 to 31. The much-anticipated event, now in its 13th year, continues a trend of growing participation, with nearly 100 restaurants taking part this year.
Hosted by Visit Alexandria, the event offers a unique opportunity for diners to explore the city's diverse culinary landscape, featuring dozens of participating restaurants. From Old Town to Del Ray, Carlyle, Eisenhower, Arlandria-Chirilagua, and the West End, the event showcases the creativity of local chefs and the global cuisine available in various neighborhoods.
The participating restaurants span various price points and cuisines. Diners can expect options such as Bugsy's pizza, Daniel O'Connell's Irish pub food, Del Ray Cafe's French cuisine, Delia's Mediterranean dishes, Founding Farmers' modern American fare, Chart House's seafood, Bastille's contemporary French cuisine, 1799 Prime's steaks and seafood, St. Elmo's Coffee Pub's $9.99 combo meal, and Market 2 Market's $14.99 sandwich combo meal.
For those seeking a more formal dining experience, the event offers multi-course prix fixe dinner menus at $30, $40, or $50 per person. Select fast-casual restaurants will also offer additional special offers.
To make the most of your dining experience, consider downloading the ALX Open Rewards app. With this app, you can earn 3% back on Restaurant Week dining and purchases across the city's small businesses year-round.
In addition to the restaurants, twelve participating hotels throughout the city are offering visitors a limited-time destination experience. The "Love, Alexandria" hotel package allows visitors to extend their dining experience and explore the city further.
Alexandria Restaurant Week serves as an economic driver for Alexandria restaurants and bolsters the city's reputation as a culinary destination. The event helps restaurants during typically slower summer dining periods while encouraging both residents and visitors to explore different neighborhoods and try new cuisines.
This year, several restaurants will participate for the first time, including Founding Farmers, Milk & Honey, Loft at Lena's, and others that have recently opened in the city's dining scene.
A digital menu book featuring all participating restaurants and their special offerings will be available in August at AlexandriaRestaurantWeek.com. We encourage you to visit the website for more information and to plan your dining adventures during Alexandria Restaurant Week.
