New Members Initiated into Dennacher Troll Fasnet Club
The Fasnet club Dennacher Troll, located in the Enzkreis region, welcomed two new members, Tabea Kaeber and Benjamin Stumpe, during their mask baptism ceremony on Three Kings Day. The event, known locally as the "masked dusting," marked the end of the Fasnacht season.
The initiation process for the Dennacher Troll club included some tests, although specific details were not provided. The ceremony took place in the dark, adding an air of mystery to the proceedings.
Under the motto "First the work, then the fun," the initiates, Tabea Kaeber and Benjamin Stumpe, recited their oath of loyalty in front of all visitors. As a symbol of their acceptance into the club, they were each given a wooden mask.
In a display of dexterity, Benjamin Stumpe threaded the needle to attach his running number to his shirt, while Tabea Kaeber sewed her number on quickly and neatly. The wearing of running numbers is a traditional part of the initiation ceremony.
Jürgen Maennicke, the first chairman of the club, presented the wooden masks to the initiates during the ceremony. With the addition of Tabea Kaeber and Benjamin Stumpe, the Dennacher Troll club now boasts 38 members, with 22 members wearing wooden masks and costumes.
