Renovation of Playground in St.-Maria-Hilf-Straße, Ottersleben
The municipal enterprise Stadtgarten and Friedhöfe Magdeburg has announced the renovation of the playground in St.-Maria-Hilf-Straße, Ottersleben, scheduled for September 17, 2025. The project is based on the priority list of the playground area concept of the state capital Magdeburg and is funded from the municipal budget.
The total cost of the renovation is approximately 190,000 euros. The old play equipment will be dismantled initially, making way for a completely renewed playground equipped with colorful play equipment.
The renovated playground will be divided into three areas, each with a unique focus. The first play area will feature two climbing towers connected by a climbing Mikado and a hanging track. This area is designed to encourage physical activity and adventure.
The second play area will focus on balancing, with a colorful balancing track and wood chips as a fall protection surface. This area aims to help children develop their motor skills and coordination.
The third area will be a sandbox play area with inclusive sandbox tables and a sand elevator. This area is designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all children, regardless of their abilities.
The design of the renovated playground focuses on complementary colours in yellow, orange, and violet, creating a vibrant and inviting atmosphere.
During the construction period, there may be temporary restrictions for passers-by in the construction site area. The municipality asks for understanding and patience during this time.
The renovation project is expected to improve the quality of the playground and provide a safe and enjoyable environment for children in Ottersleben. The community looks forward to the completion of the project in 2025.
