In the heart of London, Soho Mews House, an invite-only leisure and dining experience, has recently undergone a significant audio upgrade. Tateside, a London-based AV and IT solutions provider, led the AV integration for this prestigious venue, designing an audio system that showcases the advantages of using 1 SOUND Custom Shop speakers in high-end environments.
The Piano Bar, a central hub of the establishment, now boasts Cannon C6 loudspeakers and WSUB45s from 1 SOUND. These speakers cater to both acoustic piano and DJ performances, delivering a seamless transition between the two. The Q-SYS control backend supports multiple modes in the rooms, allowing for easy switching from DJ mode to live performance mode.

In the main dining room, Cannon C4 coaxial loudspeakers and MiniSUB5 subwoofers from 1 SOUND have been installed. The Half Moon Bar has been equipped with a distributed system using Cannon C6s and WSUB45 wall subs, providing even sound distribution throughout the venue.
Custom finishes were used for the speakers in both the Piano Bar and the Half Moon Bar to ensure aesthetic integration with the joinery. The wood stain of the loudspeakers matches the wood walls in the Half Moon Bar, maintaining a sleek and uncluttered look.
DPA microphones were used to capture crystal-clear performances in the Piano Bar. A Skaarhoj motorized fader bank was installed for basic microphone control without a mixing desk or on-site sound tech. DMX show lighting is tied in through Q-SYS, with control via an Apple iPad or simplified switching via Pragma wall panels on each floor.
