Recycled Pet Gearstore Launches: Ruffwear Introduces Affordable Second-Hand 'RuffWorn' Collection with Discounted Prices
RuffWear, a company dedicated to inspiring dog and human connections outdoors, has recently introduced an innovative online resale program called RuffWorn. This initiative aims to provide customers with an accessible entry point to premium dog gear while keeping items in use and out of landfills.
The program relies on customer returns, including unused gear returned within 30 days for a refund and well-used gear returned to prevent landfill waste. RuffWorn's website offers information and virtual aisles to browse the available used pet gear, which includes harnesses, jackets, life vests, and more.
Each product undergoes a three-step inspection process before being listed. They are categorized as 'Great: In like-new shape,' 'Good: Some minor blemishes and/or signs of wear,' or 'Fair: Well-loved with visible signs of normal wear.' For example, a Flagline Dog Harness in great condition costs $48, while it would retail for $65 at full price.
RuffWorn also offers discounts to customers who purchase secondhand gear. It's important to note that products bought through RuffWorn are final sale and cannot be returned. Unfortunately, customers are not eligible to sell their own used items through RuffWorn.
According to Robin Skillings, the Chief Marketing Officer for Ruffwear, the company believes deeply in their responsibility to the community and the planet. The RuffWorn program is part of Ruffwear's commitment to their mission of inspiring dog and human connections outdoors by keeping their products out of landfills.
For dog owners looking to explore the great outdoors with their furry companions, RuffWorn's best national parks to visit with dogs might be the perfect starting point. Whether you're planning a hike, a camping trip, or a day at the beach, RuffWorn's premium, secondhand gear offers an affordable and eco-friendly option.
