Outdoor pools in Hamburg's Bäderland facility commence summer season opening - Outdoor swimming pool in Hamburg's Bäderland makes its summer debut
Summer approachs in Hamburg, as Bäderland prepares to open two of its outdoor pools this weekend. Warm daytime temperatures and near-double digits at night are expected, following Bäderland's announcement. The Kaifubad and Stadtparksee pools, strategically located for easy access, will be the first outdoor pools to open.
Kaifubad, with its popularity across demographic groups, offers the added advantage of an indoor pool for guests to warm up between swims, according to Bäderland spokesperson Michael Dietel. Stadtparksee, a natural pool with a vast water surface, caters to a distinct clientele.
Beyond the two summer outdoor pools, the year-round outdoor pools at Billebad, Familienbad Rahlstedt, Festland, Holthusenbad, and Parkbad will remain operational. This means that from Saturday, half of the outdoor facilities will be available. Dietel mentioned that the remaining summer outdoor pools will be opened as soon as the weather stabilizes to avoid inconvenient closures.
Dietel urged adult pool visitors to maintain a close watch over their children. "It's about preventing avoidable accidents," he said, stating that any negligence could lead to immediate pool exits for both parents and children.
In cooperation with Asklepios Clinics, free sunscreen with an SPF of 50 will be provided at five locations. These include the outdoor pools at Kaifubad, Billstedt, Bondenwald, Stadtparksee, and Familienbad Rahlstedt, where sunscreen dispensers have been placed for contactless use.
While the summer season for all outdoor swimming pools operated by Bäderland in Hamburg does not begin simultaneously at all facilities, major summer outdoor pools like Kaifubad and Naturbad Stadtparksee usually open in late May. This year, these popular outdoor pools are scheduled to open on May 31. Always check the official Bäderland website for the most recent updates on specific facilities and opening times.
With the arrival of summer in Hamburg, the community policy at Bäderland emphasizes the safety and comfort of its guests. As Kaifubad and Stadtparksee pools open, implementation of the employment policy ensures lifeguards are on duty to maintain a secure environment. Outdoor-living enthusiasts can also look forward to enjoying home-and-garden activities during their visits, as Bäderland strives to promote a welcoming lifestyle for everyone.
