Osaka's Notable Traditional Celebration: Tenjin Matsuri
Each summer, on the 24th and 25th of July, the city of Osaka, Japan, comes alive with the vibrant energy of the Tenjin Matsuri - one of Japan's top three festivals. The Kanda Festival in Tokyo, held every mid-May, is known for its energetic mikoshi (portable shrine) procession parading through the streets around Kanda Myojin Shrine. It celebrates Edo tradition and brings a festive atmosphere with food stalls and traditional performances.
Together, these three festivals form a trio of Japan's prominent and culturally significant events, each offering a unique glimpse into the country's rich cultural tapestry.
