Organizing Events for Nuremberg Autumn Fair

The much-anticipated Nuremberg Autumn Festival is set to return this year, marking its second appearance as the second largest folk festival in Bavaria and one of the ten largest in Germany. The event takes place at the picturesque Nuremberg Dutzendteich, starting approximately two weeks from now, on Friday, September 3rd, and running until September 11th.

As a family-friendly celebration, the festival promises a wealth of attractions for visitors of all ages. Stalls lined up across the venue will offer a variety of delights, from traditional Bavarian fare to thrilling fairground rides. The main stage, nestled under a grand marquee, will host a series of captivating performances, showcasing the region's rich folklore and entertainment.

New additions to this year's event include the debut performances of Robotic and Avenger, two exciting acts that are sure to draw crowds. The hut concept from the previous year will also be continued, providing a cosy and inviting atmosphere for visitors to enjoy the festivities.

Furthermore, the festival will transform the city park along the Kocher River into a "sea of lights," featuring 25,000 illuminated cups in creative designs, 2,500 colourful lanterns in the old trees, and various light installations. This enchanting display is guaranteed to create a memorable evening experience.

The festival also boasts a handicrafts market, where approximately 60 craftsmen will demonstrate traditional techniques such as basket weaving, smithing, woodturning, dyeing, spinning, weaving, and pottery. Historical-themed entertainment like medieval dances, Staufer guards, and activities for children will add to the festival's authentic atmosphere. Food, drink, and music will further enrich the overall experience, making it a vibrant city festival with additional flea markets and stalls selling regional specialties.

Jürgen Putzer serves as the showman chief for the Nuremberg Autumn Festival, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all attendees. A partnership between the Stadl and the Haxen Liebermann will provide a delightful array of culinary options for visitors to savour during their visit.
