Nordhorn's NOHhausen Returns for 13th Edition: 'A Journey Around the World'
Nordhorn's Children's City, 'NOHhausen', returns for its 13th edition this autumn. Themed 'A Journey Around the World', it will see around 80 children from grades 4 to 6 create and run their own city, complete with administration, shops, and entertainment. Registration is open until September 25, 2025, online.
The event, happening during the autumn holidays, will run from Tuesday, October 14 to Friday, October 17, 2025. Each day, from 10 am to 5 pm, children will manage their city's affairs, with a city festival on the final day inviting family members from 3 pm.
The children will elect a mayor and city council to guide city life. They will also set up various businesses like a city administration, a post office, a bank, a kiosk, craft businesses, and a funfair. The participation fee is €90, including catering, with discounts available through vouchers. For more details, contact Hartwig Hesselink from the Youth Department of the City of Nordhorn.
The Children's City NOHhausen project offers children a unique opportunity to learn about city management and teamwork. With a focus on fun and creativity, it promises an exciting 'Journey Around the World' this autumn in Nordhorn.
