New integrated living solutions for a group of five from Dethleffs are being introduced.

In the bustling Caravan Salon in Düsseldorf, Germany, Dethleffs, the country's oldest caravanning manufacturer, is showcasing its latest offerings for the 2026 model year. The new lineup includes significant updates to the XL Family and Globetrail ranges, aimed at providing versatility, comfort, and connectivity for both families and outdoor enthusiasts.

The star of the show is the Dethleffs XL Family I7812-2, a new addition to the XL Family lineup designed to accommodate larger families or those seeking extra living comfort. While specific details about the I7812-2 variant are scarce, XL Family models are known for their generous sleeping space and family-friendly layouts. The vehicle features a large kitchen block, a no less lavish bathroom, and offers plenty of space and storage, including a spacious L-shaped seating group that can accommodate four standard seat belts and an optional fifth three-point seat.

The Globetrail Active models, a new addition to the Globetrail series, are designed with adventurous and outdoor-oriented users in mind. These models come equipped with modern enhancements for ease of use and improved comfort in diverse camping situations. Specific features likely include advanced safety systems, practical interior arrangements, and robust exterior design elements suitable for active lifestyles.

Dethleffs has also introduced the Globetrail Active model line, primarily targeting beginners. The line includes three layouts in two lengths, each with different bed solutions. For instance, the Globetrail 600 DS offers a transverse double bed, while the 600 KS features two stacked double beds as bunk beds. The starting price for the Globetrail Active 600 DS is 52,000 euros, with the bunk bed layout costing an additional 1,000 euros and the 640 ES adding an additional thousand.

To keep prices competitive, Dethleffs is offering edition models for the rest of its product range. These models include additional extras such as high-quality, better-insulated frame windows, more comfortable bed leaf springs, and soft-close drawers and doors. These additions can bring price advantages of 7,060 to 10,700 euros to customers.

As a special feature, Dethleffs offers a "95 years" equipment package for the "normal" Globetrail range, costing 3,000 euros. This package includes extras such as an awning, fog lights, an additional rear window, bumpers in vehicle colour, climate control, reversing camera, a 10-inch display radio navigation system, and a range of assistance systems. The total value of the individual items in this package would amount to 9,755 euros.

The base vehicle for the Globetrail Active models is either the Fiat Ducato or Citroën Jumper, both with a 140 PS series standard. The Dethleffs XL Family I7812-2, on the other hand, comes with the most powerful 132 kW/180 PS version of the 2.2-liter diesel engine with automatic transmission.

Recent Dethleffs models showcased in 2025 feature modern interiors with well-planned living areas and advanced driving and safety technology. For example, the Globebus I 6 motorhome offers twin single beds that convert into a large double bed, a drop-down large double bed, and comprehensive kitchen facilities including an oven, grill, and AES fridge/freezer. These advancements indicate Dethleffs’ focus on delivering flexibility, comfort, and connectivity in their 2026 models.

While detailed technical specifications and feature lists are not yet available for the XL Family I7812-2 and the new Globetrail Active models, the brand’s overall trend toward modern, user-friendly, and family-centric designs is evident. These new offerings from Dethleffs promise to cater to a wide range of needs, from families seeking spacious accommodations to outdoor enthusiasts seeking robust and versatile vehicles for their adventures.

The latest Dethleffs lineup showcases vehicles primarily designed for families and outdoor enthusiasts, with the Dethleffs XL Family I7812-2 catering to larger families or those seeking extra living comfort, offering spacious L-shaped seating, generous sleeping space, and a large kitchen block suitable for home-and-garden lifestyle activities. The Globetrail Active models, on the other hand, are designed for adventurous users, featuring modern enhancements for comfort in diverse camping situations, and are available in various lifestyle-oriented models like the home-and-garden-friendly Globetrail Active 600 DS or cars-focused Globetrail 600 KS.
