After the unfortunate cancellation of carnival events in Munich city center following the incident on February 13th, the city's spirit remains undaunted! Although the traditional parade, the Market Women's Dance, and "Munich gone mad" were put on hold, fear not, dear reveler! For there are plenty of exciting carnival parties, parades, and events across the Munich region awaiting you! Here's a lowdown on what's happening, pop those confetti hats on and get ready for the bash of the year!
Sausage Shenanigans for the Soul!
Mark your calendars, sauerkrautheads! On Rosenmontag, March 3rd, 2025, the city will play host to a hearty White Sausage Action! From 10 am till midday, participating breweries, such as Andechser am Dom, Augustiner am Dom, Augustiner Klosterwirt, and many more, will offer a scrumptious white sausage for just €1. It's the perfect remedy to banish those winter blues!
Parades on Parade!
Before you embark on your whirlwind carnival adventure, take a gander at these electrifying parades happening in the Munich vicinity:
- Saturday, March 1st, 2025: Gather at the Volksfestplatz in Unterschleißheim, where the parade kicks off at 12:30 pm. The spectacle ends around 2:30 pm at the Rathhausplatz, followed by a groovy party until 8 pm
- Sunday, March 2nd, 2025: The action starts at 11:30 am at the Mill in Ismaning, with the parade winding down around 2 pm at Gasthof Soller. Don't fret; the party will continue in the bar
- Sunday, March 2nd, 2025: Unterhaching gets its share of the carnival madness with the parade commencing at 12 pm at the Rathausplatz, and the chaos subsiding around 6 pm
- Sunday, March 2nd, 2025: The carnival spirit flows strong in Johanneskirchen, with the parade starting at 1 pm at the Maibaum Johanneskirchen, concluding around 3:30 pm at the Bürgerpark Oberföhring
The Carnival Supershow with 95.5 and Schneider Weisse!
Ready for an unparalleled Faschingsdienstag extravaganza? On March 4th, 2025, the audacious tandem of 95.5 and Schneider Weisse is throwing an epic carnival party at the Schneider Weisse Brauhaus im Tal! The party starts at 9 am with a breakfast brimming with white sausages, accompanied by raucous brass music. From midday until the end, 95.5 DJs will keep the beats pumping, while live music from Roland Hefter will echo from 2 pm to 5 pm. Later, the party band BANDITS will get the joint jumping from 6 pm till the wee hours. Catch all the live action until 11 pm! Food, drinks, and Bavarian street food will keep those energy levels soaring.
Tickets for this shindig are already on sale, and they'll be available at the box office on Faschingsdienstag as well. Better grab yours quick, as they're sure to go faster than hot pretzels at Oktoberfest!

- Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 8 pm: Monaco Nights beckons at the Festsaal Bayrischer Hof. Dress to impress in 70s/80s costumes, though attendees must be at least 16 years old.
- Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 1 pm to 6 pm: Get a taste of Brazil with the lively Carnaval do Brasil in Stachus Passages. Brazilian samba dancers and drummers promise an unforgettable afternoon!
- Rosenmontag, March 3, 2025, from 7 pm: Cologne Evening unfolds in the Neuraum. Tickets are available online in advance or at the box office
