Millennium Amanfoo Southern Branch Hosts First-Ever Recognition Ceremony

The Millennium Amanfoo Southern Branch Association, comprising Prempeh College alumni from the year 2000, celebrated their first awards ceremony - the 'Millennium Amanfoo - Southern Branch Excellence Awards Gala' - to honor members who have outshone themselves in their respected fields.

At an entertaining event, overloaded with fun, networking, and reminiscing, René Plahar - Southern branch member and the awards' organizer, expressed, "We aim to inspire, celebrating the significant influence of our exceptional peers whose success contributes to our association's growth."

In total, 15 dedicated individuals from various professional domains were awarded with elegant appreciation plaques, along with additional attractive perks, souvenirs, and more.

Plahar divulged that 14 of the recipients were recognized for their career excellence, while one stood out due to exceptional leadership.

The event was a showcase of success stories, with individuals from academia, politics, accounting, finance, security services, and more being honored. Plahar stated, "Tonight, we gather to honor our peers for their impressive endeavors and express our fellowship and solidarity with the Amanfoo ethos."

Upon discussing the selection criteria, he emphasized the rigorous process the nominees underwent: "With a plethora of stunning profiles, extraordinary credentials, and an abundance of quality, we honed in and scrutinized to the minutest details of our high Amanfoo standards, ultimately choosing 14 nominees."

Plahar, in admonishing his peers to maintain the college's high standards, extolled them to strive for the pinnacle of excellence and integrity, as echoed by the motto ‘Suban ne Nimdee’.

He expressed optimism that those who didn't walk away with an award would be inspired to attain future recognition.

Roland Akomeah, the Branch Chairman of the Association, highlighted the college's significance to the alumni in his welcoming address. He stated, "Prempeh College acts as a crossroads of interests, a unifying force, an educational epicenter for all of us. On 6th February 1998, we gathered here, laying the foundation for lifelong friendships, camaraderie, and brotherhood. 23 years on, many of us have thrived in diverse fields of endeavor. Memory, they say, must be celebrated."

Akomeah encouraged members to emulate the success of the awardees, expressing gratitude for their cooperation and support in making the ceremony a success. "Let us all learn from their achievements. Let them ignite, motivate, and inspire us to excel wherever we are."

Upon expressing satisfaction with the event's attendance - which he described as overwhelming - the Branch Chairman, a recipient himself, promised Broadcasting Fame Times (BFT) that future editions would be even more remarkable. "Reconnecting with old companions and reliving cherished memories is a truly wonderful feeling," he added.

Millennium Amanfoo leads four branches of Prempeh College old students from the year 2000, including the Southern, Northern, UK, and USA branches.
