Mike Robinson's 'Tiny Workshop' Wins Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2025
Mike Robinson has won the Cuprinol Shed of the Year 2025 for his ingenious creation, 'The Tiny Workshop'. This triple-duty structure serves as a toolshed, workspace, and storage solution, all while maximizing space in a compact courtyard garden in South-East London.
Robinson's winning shed is built from two sets of heavy-duty steel shelving, bolted together and clad in wood. Inside, it features carefully planned drawers, shelves, and hooks for tool organization. The design includes two ingenious flaps: one that unfolds into a work floor, and another that provides weather protection.
Head judge Andrew Wilcox praised the design's return to practical roots while being inspired and functional. 'The Tiny Workshop' not only maximizes storage but also features a living green roof that stores garden tools and creates a habitat for wildlife.
Mike Robinson's 'The Tiny Workshop' is a testament to the democratization of good graphic design in small spaces. The shed won £1,000 and the prestigious title, proving that practicality and innovation can thrive even in the smallest of gardens.
