The much-loved tradition of Día del Pedal is set to return to San Pedro Alcántara on September 21, coinciding with European Mobility Week. This non-competitive cycling event, organised by the local city council in collaboration with various cycling clubs, including Los Jululus, is designed to promote clean mobility and healthier lifestyles.

The event, which combines sport, community, and family fun, will start at 11am from the Plaza de la Iglesia and finish at the La Salida beach car park. The route of the event will wind through San Pedro Boulevard to the La Salida beach area, ensuring a family-friendly, barrier-free experience suitable for all ages.

Local cycling clubs, including Los Jululus, are handling safety and logistics to ensure a smooth and enjoyable day for all participants. Young riders from local sports schools will also join in the festivities, adding to the community spirit of the event.

President of Los Jululus expressed his excitement about the event, describing it as a day for family bonding, encouraging cycling among children, and promoting a love for the sport. As a gesture of environmental responsibility, participants will receive a commemorative T-shirt in exchange for a recyclable container. Empty cans, plastic bottles, or milk cartons are all acceptable.

Approximately 1,000 participants are expected to attend the event, making it a lively and vibrant celebration in the streets of San Pedro Alcántara. Free registration will be available on-site from 9am at the Plaza de la Iglesia.

Join us on September 21 for a day filled with cycling, community, and eco-conscious fun. Let's pedal our way to a healthier and cleaner future together!
