Local politician, Detmold, confirms victory in latest election

Detmold, a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, has received a significant boost to its family infrastructure. The state government has allocated around 15 million euros this year to strengthen prevention in municipalities and to accompany families and children in a low-threshold manner.

Minister Josefine Paul, North Rhine-Westphalia's Minister for Children, Youth, Family, Equality, Flight and Integration, was impressed by Detmold's family infrastructure during a visit. She stated that prevention and a good and healthy upbringing for all children and young people in North Rhine-Westphalia is a central concern of the state government.

Detmold will receive an additional 15,000 Euros from the 'kinderstark' funding program, following Minister Paul's approval. This funding comes on top of the 65,600 Euros that Detmold had previously received from the same program. With the new and previously provided funds, Detmold will receive a total of 80,600 Euros from the 'kinderstark' funding program.

The city's family infrastructure includes innovative lighthouse projects such as the Familien-Info-Treff (F.I.T), Kinderschutzhaus (K.I.D.S), and PUB.I.T, which offer creative opportunities for young people and provide a low-threshold approach to families and children.

One of the projects that will benefit from the additional funds is a participatory graffiti project for children and young people from different social spaces in the city. The goal of these graffiti projects is to make the topic of children's rights visible in the city of Detmold.

The city portal of Detmold is another service-oriented, open partner to citizens. It consistently brings all relevant information to the people, reflecting the modern communication administration of Detmold.

Detmold also boasts a multiprofessional, interdisciplinary team focused on the well-being of children and families. The team's efforts are evident in the 'Garagenhof' in Detmold's former British quarter, which offers open children and youth work oriented towards a diverse target group.

The city of Krefeld is another location where the 'kinderstark' project is supported. Minister Paul recently approved a grant of 15,000 Euros for Krefeld's project.

In conclusion, Detmold's family infrastructure continues to grow and evolve, thanks in part to the support from the North Rhine-Westphalia government's 'kinderstark' funding program. The city's commitment to the well-being of children and families, coupled with its innovative projects and open communication, make it a shining example of a family-friendly city.
