Living Situations in Neuwied: What's the Plan?
The city of Neuwied is set to host a citizen workshop titled "Future Living in Neuwied" on August 20th, at 5:30 PM, in the Amalie-Raiffeisen-Saal of VHS Neuwied. This event invites tenants, homeowners, investors, and interested citizens to participate in shaping the future housing and living environment of Neuwied.
Mayor Peter Jung will personally welcome the guests at the workshop. The purpose of this workshop is to ensure that the city’s housing projects align with the citizens' vision and expectations, fostering a participatory approach in urban planning to create livable, resilient, and attractive neighborhoods in Neuwied.
The housing development concept aims to provide a solid foundation for future housing and settlement development in Neuwied. It focuses on sustainable and energy-efficient housing solutions, community-friendly urban design, integration of new technologies in residential development, addressing demographic changes and housing demands, and more.
Expert speakers, such as Prof. Dr. Torsten Bölting from InWIS, are expected to provide insights into current best practices and future trends in housing development. The workshop will feature interactive theme stations encouraging discussions on new housing forms, quality, urban space management, existing building development, affordable housing, and age-appropriate and inclusive housing.
The workshop starts at 5:30 PM and is expected to end around 7:30 PM. No registration is required for the citizen workshop. For further information about the event, visit the city's website at www.neuwied.de/wohnraumversorgungskonzept.
