Live Stream of Neusser Königspartei on Screen - an Alternative to WDR Broadcast

Two centuries of the most prominent shooting festival go untelevised by Westdeutscher Rundfunk, leaving many perplexed. In response, the shooting club 'Net kalle - donn' and the Citizens' Shooting Club take matters into their own hands, choosing to self-produce the broadcast.

Live Stream of Neusser Königspartei on Screen - an Alternative to WDR Broadcast

The 200-year-old Neuss Citizen Shooting Festival, a cherished tradition in the city, is now accessible to a wider audience as it will be live-streamed on YouTube. This decision comes after initial reservations, and it is Maximilian Leusch, a member of the Zug "Net kalle - donn" and the owner of Neuss "Maxivents Media/Event Technology", who is making this possible along with his team.

The live broadcast will commence with the children's parade on Saturday, setting the tone for the festivities. The program on Shooting Sunday will be led by Eiko Pate and André Scheidt. The highlight of the festival, the Sunday King's parade, will also be broadcast live, beginning around 8 am.

The Tambour corps march from the market and the torchlight procession are also part of the live broadcast. A unique feature of this live stream is that shooters can see the location and distance of other participants on their smartphones, enhancing the interactive experience.

The live broadcast is supported by several sponsors, including Stadtwerke Neuss, Sparkasse Neuss, Spedition Gauder, CCR Caravan, NEUSSERREHA, Elektrotechnik Stückes, TG-Neuss, Bolten, Bitburger, the leadership consultant "Tatkraft", and many more.

Reinhold Gauder, Oberleutnant of "Net kalle - donn", had expressed his dissatisfaction with the initial decision not to broadcast the event. However, with this development, the festival is now more accessible than ever.

Any surplus from the festival will be donated to the action 'Schützen against cancer' of the Shooting King Marc I. Hillen. On the other hand, any deficit in the cash box during the festival will be covered by the Zug.

The link to the Youtube channel of the broadcast can be found on the Facebook page of "Net kalle - donn" and the homepage of the Neuss Citizen Shooting Association: www.schuetzenfest-neuss.com. For those who cannot attend the festival in person, this live stream offers an opportunity to join in from the comfort of their homes.

Despite the fact that the event in question took place in 2021, and today’s date is in 2025, archival footage or recorded streams of the festival can be found on the official Neuss city, shooting club, or festival YouTube channels or websites directly.

The live broadcast will continue with the remembrance of the dead and the star march on Saturday. Enjoy the festivities from the convenience of your home!
