Lego reveals 9 fresh sets unveiled at Comic-Con 2025, among them an impressive brick-crafted Game Boy model I had a closer look at
Lego has announced its latest lineup of collectible building kits, featuring iconic gaming handhelds and popular franchises. The highlight of the collection is the Lego Game Boy, a near 1:1 scale model of the original Nintendo Game Boy, set to go up for preorder on July 24, 2025, and start shipping on October 1, 2025.
The Lego Game Boy, priced at $59.99 / £54.99 / AU$99.99, contains 421 pieces and boasts authentic details such as the control pad, 'A' and 'B' buttons, select and start buttons, contrast adjustment, volume dials, and a Game Pak slot. The set comes with interchangeable, brick-built versions of the Game Boy Game Paks for The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Super Mario Land, and features display options for the classic Nintendo start screen or game screens from either cartridge.
In addition to the Lego Game Boy, Lego's San Diego Comic-Con 2025 reveals included sets themed to Stranger Things and Wicked, ahead of Wicked for Good arriving later in 2025. Eight other sets were premiered at the event, including several new sets themed to Wicked.
Another exciting addition to the collection is the Lego DC Batman Arkham Asylum set, requiring 2,988 bricks for its construction. This set includes 16 Minifigures and will be available for preorder in September. The set is filled with intricate details, showcasing the asylum's iconic architecture and various characters from the game.
A made-out-of-Lego replica of the San Diego Comic-Con center was also present at the booth, offering a unique and interactive experience for attendees.
