International Celebration of Cycling in Bay of Lübeck
On June 3, 2023, the Lübeck Bucht region will be celebrating World Bicycle Day with a series of exciting events. The Tourism Agency Lübeck Bucht (TALB) is collaborating with local partners to offer two free guided bike tours, a prize draw, and various activities for cycling enthusiasts.
The celebrations will kick off with guided cycling tours exploring the scenic routes around the Lübeck Bucht. The tours, organised by TALB, Fahrrad Hesse, and TobisRad, will take participants through coastal areas, inland, forests, moors, and promenades, offering a chance to enjoy the region's natural beauty. Each tour includes a stop for refreshments.
To join the tours, simply register online or visit the Scharbeutz Tourist Info for the morning tour or Neustadt in Holstein Tourist Info Hafen for the afternoon tour. Each tour is limited to a maximum of 16 participants. The morning tour lasts four hours, while the afternoon tour lasts three hours.
For those who wish to participate in the prize draw, all you need to do is send an email to [email protected] by June 3, 2023. TALB and local partners have prepared five packages for a prize draw related to cycling in the Lübeck Bucht region. Prizes could include bike accessories, local gift vouchers, or even a free bike rental for a day from participating bike rental shops.
Local businesses such as bike repair shops, outdoor gear stores, and cafes might participate by offering discounts or special promotions for cyclists. Organizations like Timmendorfer Strand Niendorf Tourismus GmbH could support these events by promoting cycling routes and activities in the area.
