11th Black Ball Tattoo Event Highlights Female Tattoo Artists' Versatility

The 11th edition of the Black Ball Tattoo event, held in Ozoir-la-Ferrière, Seine-et-Marne, on September 13 and 14, showcased the diverse styles and creative abilities of female tattoo artists. Organised by Jérôme Delesalle, the president of the Black Ball Tattoo association, the event aimed to break down stereotypes and dispel the notion that women in tattooing are limited in their creative abilities.

The event took place in a tattoo lounge filled with booths, where attendees had the opportunity to witness the work of 70 female tattoo artists. This was a significant increase from previous conventions, reflecting the growing recognition of female artists in the tattoo industry.

Among the well-known female tattoo artists who participated in the event were Agathe Ninnin, Emy Ochoa, and Lolita Bouchard. These artists, along with many others, demonstrated the versatility of their creations, proving that they are not limited to creating specific styles.

The atmosphere of the event was described as atmospheric, with soft lighting adding to the overall ambiance. Approximately 2,000 people attended the event, a similar number to previous years. Among the attendees, 4 out of 10 were men, indicating a growing interest in the work of female tattoo artists.

A tattoo artist with over 15 years of experience stated that women in tattooing can create anything, not just certain styles. This sentiment was echoed by Jérôme Delesalle, who chose a feminine showcase to reflect his clientele, which is primarily female.

The goal of the event was to challenge stereotypes about female tattoo artists and their creative styles. By showcasing the diversity of female tattoo artists and their creations, the event aimed to demonstrate the versatility of women in tattooing and to encourage more people to consider the work of female artists.

The event was not just a platform for showcasing the work of female tattoo artists, but also an opportunity to address stereotypes about the styles of female tattoo artists. By focusing on the diverse styles and capabilities of female tattoo artists, the event aimed to dispel the notion that women in tattooing are limited in their creative abilities.

The entry ticket for the event cost €12.50 per day, making it accessible to a wide range of people. The event was well-received by attendees, who praised the diversity of the artists and the overall atmosphere of the event.

In conclusion, the 11th Black Ball Tattoo event was a success, both in terms of attendance and in terms of its goal to challenge stereotypes about female tattoo artists and their creative abilities. The event was a testament to the growing recognition of female tattoo artists and their contributions to the tattoo industry.
