In Omsk, the "Flora-2025" event unfolded, showcasing incidents of "Myrrhacks by skin"
The city of Omsk is gearing up for its annual City Day celebration, and this year promises to be a blooming success with the addition of the "Flora" exhibition.
The "Flora" exhibition, now in its 73rd year, was solemnly opened by Omsk region governor Vitaliy Khotchenko and Omsk mayor Sergey Shelesst. The event was marked by the performance of creative city collectives, and visitors, including Moscow resident Aриna, were seen strolling at the exhibition.
The "Flora" exhibition is divided into two parts: one dedicated to the anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the other to Omsk's status as the Youth Capital of 2025. In the Victory-themed part, you can find compositions like "Victory Banner", "Wings of the Victorious", and a 6.2-meter tall Eternal Flame made of flowers. In the Youth Capital-themed part, you can find compositions like a cheerful hockey player, an elegant figure skater, and a boxing ring.
This year, there were no compositions in Resurrection Square, but you could enjoy bright flower beds of morovniks, lychinses, verbeniks, cannas, and derbeniks. The "Flora" exhibition itself will be preserved until August 5, after which the flower arrangements will be dismantled.
The City Day program in Omsk also includes a concert titled "Discotheques of Accidents", a speed chopping tournament, and other unspecified events. However, for a precise and complete schedule, including concerts, tournaments, and exhibition-related activities, it would be best to consult official Omsk city or regional cultural event websites, local news portals closer to the event date, or official social media channels specifically dedicated to City Day celebrations in Omsk.
The fair near the Exhibition Square, which was previously reported on, is operating from August 1 to 5, from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Visitors Svetlana and Natalia mentioned liking the flower Georgian ribbon and the composition with frontline letters.
The governor noted that the exhibition is a traditional event that Omsk residents look forward to every year. In total, there were about 20,000 perennial and 200,000 annual flowers planted.
