In a new development, a Bali-inspired spa is emerging close to Munich, following the success of a similar establishment in Berlin.
Unleashing the Balinese Vibes in Germany: Get Ready for Vabali Spa in Olching!
Say goodbye to those long flights from Munich, because this summer, the eastern charm of Bali will be right at your doorstep! The "Vabali" wellness temple, inspired by the exotic holiday island, is set to become a reality in Olching, Fürstenfeldbruck. The investor, Theune Spa Management GmbH, has already left its eastern romance mark in Berlin (2014), Düsseldorf (2017), and Hamburg (2022).
The Vabali Spa Chain near Munich: Your Dreamy Oasis Awaits
Spanning a whopping 40,000 square meters, the new Vabali will set up shop in the Geiselbullach industrial park, boasting a stunning view of the Stürzer Weiher. Get ready for 14 saunas, four steam baths, two pools, four warm water pools, and direct lake access, according to Vabali Spa. This tropical paradise will also feature a restaurant, bars, massage options, day spa suites, relaxation rooms, and a hotel with approximately 120 beds.
While specific opening hours haven't been revealed yet, expect to be there for up to 14 hours a day, with prices ranging from 29.50 to 53.50 euros depending on your stay duration (two, four, six hours, or daily pass). No rush, take your sweet time basking in this slice of Bali!
Kid-free Bali: All Grown-ups Welcome
Buckle up for a textile-free experience! Children under 12 are not allowed, and everyone must wear a bathrobe outside of the saunas and pools. Sounds like it's adults-only, taking the word "spa" pretty seriously.
The Price Tag: 60 Million Euros for a Slice of Heaven
With a hefty 60 million euro investment, this luxury spa is expected to take about two years to build. The city of Olching and the Vabali Group are excited about this project, hoping it will create approximately 250 jobs and bring in high commercial tax revenues.
Not Everybody's on Board
Although the city council has given the green light, not all Olching residents are thrilled about this project. Concerns have been raised about the spa being built more for the Munich metropolitan area than the local residents, as well as increased traffic volume. However, the experts argue that traffic increases should be relatively moderate, and truck traffic won't be an issue.
Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting project and get ready to experience the enchanting allure of Bali, right here in southern Germany!
