In the heart of Solingen-Frönhof, the Christmas Courtyard (Weihnachtshof) has become a cherished local event, attracting both residents and visitors during the Advent season. This year's edition, the first of its kind in the community, offered a charming, historic setting filled with festive decorations, community activities, and family-friendly entertainment.

Volunteers of emergency seelsorge, easily identifiable by their purple jackets, were on standby near the church all week, providing information about their services for people affected by accidents and disasters. At the same time, the emergency seelsorge stand also accepted donations for Christmas items no longer needed.

The Friedensdorf stand, a part of the Christmas Courtyard, was bustling with activity. It offered handmade knitted items, intricate scarves, Tiffani items, pepper from Cambodia, and card sets with winter motifs from Solingen. The proceeds from this stand went towards the Solingen emergency seelsorge.

Visitors could engage in conversation, find unique gifts, and enjoy mulled wine while exploring the compact and cozy layout of the Christmas Courtyard. Children were thrilled to meet Santa Claus, adding to the holiday spirit.

Despite some initial hiccups due to a lack of time for organization, the event was met with overwhelming enthusiasm. Shops at the Fronhof were thriving during the Christmas Courtyard, and participants were delighted with the family-like atmosphere.

Ingrid Körschgen, the cultural ambassador, took the opportunity to inform visitors about the Theatercard Probchen, a mini-subscription for the Solingen Theater and Konzerthaus. Meanwhile, the bookstore "Der Bucher Ober" had a positive cooperation with the organizers of the Christmas Courtyard.

Based on the feedback, the organizers are considering hosting the Christmas Courtyard again next year, which would benefit the entire community according to Hartmut Ober, spokesperson for the Fronhof community.

For those seeking detailed or current information on the origins, future plans, or upcoming events for the Christmas Courtyard at Fronhof, it is recommended to consult official Solingen community websites, local news outlets, or the Fronhof community’s own communications for announcements.

Engaging in shopping for unique holiday gifts, visitors discovered the Friedensdorf stand that offered handmade items, scarves, Tiffani items, Cambodian pepper, and card sets with Solingen winter motifs. Proceeds from these sales supported the Solingen emergency seelsorge.

The Fronhof home-and-garden shops flourished during the festive season, as the Christmas Courtyard lifestyle drew in locals and tourists alike, offering a charming setting that reflects the community's spirit.
