Düsseldorf is gearing up for an exciting summer with a variety of holiday programs designed for children and young people. The Youth Office, in collaboration with free carriers and local youth associations, has put together a diverse range of activities that comply with current coronavirus protection measures.

Approximately 3,500 places are available for the summer holiday program, which will consist of one, two, or three-week offers in small and fixed groups, with a daily core time from 9 to 16 o'clock. The program is diverse in its range of activities, including sports and movement, arts and media, adventures, and opportunities for self-expression.

Young participants can look forward to engaging in activities such as parcouring and knightly games, while those interested in hands-on experiences can participate in activities at the adventure playgrounds, which focus on hammering, sawing, digging, building huts, dealing with animals, and nature experiences.

The city sports association's sports action bus will provide highlights such as archery, football camp, volleyball, and other sports for the summer holidays. The Düsseldorf adventure playgrounds will also offer special programs for the summer holidays.

City Director Burkhard Hintzsche expressed his gratitude to the free carriers and youth associations for putting together a varied program that complies with current coronavirus protection measures.

Registrations for the holiday program will be possible from Saturday, June 12, 10 a.m., with the respective carriers of the measures, except for the "Düsseldorfchen" organized by Akki, which requires online booking at www.duesselfeien.info/.

Due to short notice, this year's offers are mostly local. However, families might also consider regional attractions such as water parks nearby, although not directly in Düsseldorf, such as Aquapark Oberhausen, which is relatively close and suits children aged 6-7 well.

For official summer holiday programs, registration details, and event highlights in Düsseldorf in 2021, the best approach would have been to check the official Düsseldorf city website, local community centers, or cultural institutions for announcements, as these programs are often organized by municipal or cultural bodies.

[2] Aquapark Oberhausen: A water park located in Oberhausen, a city near Düsseldorf, which offers a range of water slides and attractions for children and families. [3] Hochschule Niederrhein: A local educational institution that hosts events and workshops, but more related to academic or cultural engagement rather than holiday programs.

  1. To complement their summer lifestyle, families in Düsseldorf can enjoy the diverse range of home-and-garden experiences at Standehaus Park in Carlstadt.
  2. After a day of engaging in the city's exciting summer activities, such as the sports and adventure programs, a family trip to Aquapark Oberhausen can be a refreshing addition to their home-and-garden-themed lifestyle.
