Hannah's Urban Residence in Sweden: Her Apartment and Rural Summer House

In the heart of the city, Hannah Persson's apartment exudes a sleek, modern aesthetic, contrasting sharply with the relaxed charm of her summer cottage nestled in the countryside.

Hannah, the owner of the city apartment, has graciously allowed us to share photographs of both her urban and rural abodes. The city apartment, curated by Ingegerd Silow, boasts a minimalist design with an exclusive display of a transparent radio, mirror, plant, and paper lamp. A Svenskt Tenn bedside lamp illuminates the space, adding a touch of Scandinavian elegance. However, the apartment is also home to a baby bed by Garbo & Friends, a staple in many Swedish homes.

A stark contrast to the city apartment, the summer cottage embraces a more laid-back vibe. Simple hooks for a grab-and-go lifestyle adorn the walls, and wall-hung sunhats add a summery touch. The folk-art basket, unique to the cottage, is a nod to its history. The cottage also features a Garbo & Friends baby bed, just like the city apartment, but the Svenskt Tenn bedside lamp is replaced by the natural beauty of flowers from the garden and floral bedding.

The Swedish cottage aesthetic is defined by its bright, warm, and natural ambiance, with a focus on craftsmanship and harmony between indoor and outdoor environments. Wood paneling, light colors, natural materials, simplicity, accent colors, cozy furnishings, and integration with nature are all key elements of this aesthetic.

In the summer cottage, flowers from the garden and floral bedding are used to bring nature indoors, while a round paper rice lamp from Hay is currently popular in Swedish homes. Arket's blanket, on the other hand, is a favourite in the city apartment.

Each of these spaces reflects Hannah's unique style and the distinct lifestyles associated with city and countryside living. Whether it's the practicality of the city apartment or the relaxed charm of the summer cottage, both spaces offer a glimpse into the beauty of Swedish homes and interiors.
