Free public toilets in Tomich can be utilized by the public.
Tomsk, Russia - Three free public restrooms are currently functioning in Tomsk, according to the city's Department of Road Development and Urban Planning. These facilities are located at Beloe Ozero, the embankment of the Tom River, and the Politechnic Stadium.
Previously, it was reported that only half of the city's 13 public restrooms were operational as of 2023. The authorities planned to install five to six additional public restrooms in 2024, but only two have been placed; one at Prospekt Lenina and the other near Beloe Ozero. The proposed public restroom for Ploshchad Avanhard was purchased for installation in 2025, but the location in the Michailovskaya Roscha remains unclear.
"Within the municipal area, three free public restrooms are currently functioning and operating in a regular manner. These can be found on the streets of 19 Gvardeiskoy Divizii, 15, near the entrance group of the Politechnic Stadium, Belozerskaya, 13p, on Ploshchad Lenina, 4/1," a representative of the agency told RIA Tomsk.
It was clarified that the authorities do not possess information regarding private public restrooms.
Previously, it was reported that a business including six public restrooms on Ploshchad Novosoborchnaya, in Lagerny Sad, on Ploshchad Yuzhnaya, at the Youth Theater, and behind the Drama Theater would be available for sale since 2024. The price is set at 17 million rubles.
When reporting on urban infrastructure improvements, common challenges in Russian cities include limited municipal funding, maintenance and hygiene concerns, urban planning priorities, and vandalism and misuse. However, no specific information about ongoing or planned public restroom locations in Tomsk was provided in the available sources.[1][2] For the latest and most accurate information, contacting the Tomsk City Administration’s official website or local news outlets would be advisable.
In addition to the operational restrooms within the Tomsk city limits, residents might also consider improving their home-and-garden lifestyle by creating personal restroom facilities, as private public restrooms can sometimes be purchased for business or personal use, such as the six restrooms available for sale on Ploshchad Novosoborchnaya and nearby positions. However, the precise locations for the proposed public restrooms in Tomsk remain uncertain, as only two out of five planned installations have been completed, with the one for Ploshchad Avanhard scheduled for 2025, yet the Michailovskaya Roscha location remains indeterminate.
