Festive summer event unfolding in East Bavaria: 49th Sea Festival in Schönsee on July 29, 2018, commencing at 1 PM.
The Schönsee Seefest, one of Eastern Bavaria's most beautiful and lively summer festivals, is set to return this year. Held in the picturesque Kurpark around a lake, the event promises a delightful mix of live music, entertainment, and various activities.
The festival traditionally takes place on the last Sunday in July, and this year is no exception. However, for the most accurate and up-to-date schedule and lineup, we recommend checking the official Schönsee town website, local event listings, or the festival’s social media pages.
During the day, visitors can enjoy performances on seven stages, featuring a diverse range of music from brass bands to pop and rock. This year, a "Michael Jackson Double" from Berlin is set to perform, promising an electrifying experience.
In the afternoon, bands and brass bands take to the beer gardens, creating a lively and festive atmosphere. There's also plenty of fun to be had on the water, with water ball games and inflatable boats available for those who want to cool off. For the little ones, an 11-meter-high climbing wall and the charming "Giants on Stilts" will provide hours of entertainment.
The festivities kick off a day early with the Bürgerfest of the city of Schönsee, starting at 7:00 PM the day before the Seefest.
While we await the full lineup for this year's event, past editions of the Schönsee Seefest have also featured a large arts and crafts market and flea market in the morning.
Stay tuned for more updates on the Schönsee Seefest 2022. We'll keep you posted as more information becomes available. In the meantime, we encourage you to mark your calendars and get ready for a summer festival to remember in Schönsee, Eastern Bavaria.
