Osnabrück, Germany: New Family Changing Room Enhances Schinkel Bath Experience
After undergoing renovation, families visiting the Schinkel Bath in Osnabrück now have access to a dedicated family changing room, providing additional comfort during their visit. This newly created area, previously a sauna, has been complete for several months.
The family changing room comprises two family showers with combined changing areas, three new shower cubicles, and four spacious family changing rooms. Each shower is equipped with two showerheads, one designed for children. Additionally, there's a motor skill game and a permanently installed tablet to keep young visitors entertained while waiting. Most of the cabins are also furnished with a changing table.
Bath guests with children can access the family changing room exclusively via their chip without any additional charges. According to Bath Director Torsten Krier, the family changing room is a unique feature, as no similar facilities were found in other baths during the planning phase.
Schinkel Bath employee Anke Spellmeyer initiated the idea for the family changing room, recognizing the need for more space for families to change. She observed that it could get quite crowded with four people in one of the previous changing rooms.
Moreover, the renovation has improved the overall visitor experience by more evenly distributing the capacity in the other changing areas. Krier also announced plans to create another changing room for individuals with disabilities in the coming months.
Families are invited to check out the new facilities during a special offer on June 14th and 15th. Children up to 10 years old will have free entry when accompanied by a paying adult, and the weekend will feature balloon art and face painting.
