Just a few days ahead of the festive spectacle on November 29, the city gears up for the Striezelmarket's arrival! Last Friday evening, the testing of thousands of lights, fairy lights, and more took place in an age-old tradition. Any malfunctioning light can be swifty replaced to ensure a seamless experience. This year, the towering Striezel Tree from Pirna-Graupa, adorned with an array of lights, will stand at a staggering 22 meters tall.
Meanwhile, the grand baking process commenced on Friday. Marking a significant return, the Kids' Bakery on the Striezelmarket welcomed visitors once again after a three-year hiatus. Daily from 10 am to 6 pm, children can have a go at the traditional baking craft, learning from skilled bakers and pastry chefs from the local region.
