Denver, Colorado - Severtson Screens, a leading manufacturer of projection screens and optical coatings, is set to showcase its latest innovation, the Proteus Series, at the Colorado Convention Center, booth #4140, during CEDIA Expo 2025 from September 4-6.

The Proteus Series is designed to offer ultimate flexibility for home theater and permanent installations, making it suitable for diverse AV environments. This innovative product is equipped with a built-in masking system that allows the aspect ratio of the screen to be changed easily and quickly at the push of a button, adapting to different content formats without the need to swap screens or manually adjust masking.

The Proteus Series screens are designed to deliver multi-aspect ratio compatibility, enhancing the viewing experience for various types of media by optimizing the screen size and shape accordingly. Users can switch between the standard 16:9 format for TV programming and sports, and the cinematic 2.39:1 aspect ratio for movies, at the push of a button.

The screens in the Proteus Series offer a choice of Severtson's USA-made projection surfaces or optical coatings, with several options featuring micro-perf technology. Notably, Severtson's advanced, water-based optical coating is recommended for passive 3D projection with the SēVision 3D GX screen.

The Proteus Series screens' surfaces have varying gains, ranging from 0.7 to 3.0, allowing for a range of brightness and contrast options to suit different viewing environments. The screens also offer a choice of several projection surfaces: Cinema White (1.3 gain), Cinema Grey (1.0 gain), Stellar White (1.3 - 2.6 gain), High Contrast Grey [HCNC] (0.7 gain), Grey Vision (1.3 - 2.2 gain), SAT-4K (1.18 gain), TAT-4K (0.93 gain), Bright White Acoustically-Transparent [BWAT] (1.0 - 1.1 gain), and SēVision 3D GX (1.4 - 3.0 gain).

One of the standout features of the Proteus Series screens is their ability to accommodate the industry's most common aspect ratios without visible gray bars, ensuring a seamless viewing experience.

The Proteus Series screens by Severtson Screens are the result of several years of research and development, marking a significant step forward in the company's commitment to delivering cutting-edge solutions for the home theater and smart technology markets.
