Cycling Course for Women Offered by ADFC Ingolstadt
The Allgemeiner Deutscher Fahrrad-Club (ADFC) Ingolstadt is set to offer a cycling course for women, including refugee women, starting August 4. The course, which takes place in the schoolyard of the Auf der Schanz school each day at 6:30 PM, is designed for women who may be learning cycling for the first time or re-learning due to lack of opportunity or availability of a bicycle.
The course is structured to allow participants to learn at their own pace and covers essential cycling skills such as mounting and dismounting, starting and stopping, turning, avoiding obstacles, and traffic behavior. Participants are expected to have their own bicycles, but helmets are provided by ADFC for those who do not have their own.
The participation fee for the entire course remains 80 euros and must be paid in cash on the first day. The course spans over eight days, depending on the progress of the participants. However, the course duration may still vary based on participants' progress.
The course is suitable for women who may have cultural reasons preventing them from learning cycling in the past. Registration for the course can be done via email at [email protected] or by phone at (0152) 51 46 80 28. Additional information can be found under "News" on www.adfc-ingolstadt.de.
Cycling is promoted as a means to expand daily mobility and promote integration. Participants are required to use ADFC-owned bicycles during the course.
