Copenhagen Dwelling of Sidsel, Showcasing Asleep Canine!

Nestled on the picturesque island of Fejø, Sidsel Garsdal's cabin offers a captivating blend of modern Scandinavian design and rustic charm. This family home, brimming with books and treasures, is not just a residence but a testament to Garsdal's eye for style and her passion for design.

The cabin's interior boasts a warm, inviting atmosphere, thanks in part to its pink colour scheme and extensive use of wood paneling. The design ethos is evident in the carefully selected pieces and brands that grace the space.

Furniture from Muuto, known for its clean lines and functional design, is a notable highlight. The cabin also features Hay stools, adding a touch of minimalist Danish design, while Kvadrat fabrics bring texture and comfort. The use of natural materials reinforces the cabin’s connection to nature, creating a warm and cozy environment.

The cabin's focal point, a secondhand table, sits proudly in the centre, surrounded by Danish design pieces by Formal A. The chairs around the table are a mix of classic wishbone chairs and old Danish school chairs, adding a touch of history and character.

The decorative communal stairwell, with its blue shade and stain glass window, is a stunning feature that adds a touch of elegance to the cabin. The PAX closet, sourced from IKEA, has been painted in 3372 from Flügger, complementing the overall colour scheme.

The rug from Jotex, the photography by Garsdal herself, and the mirror coffee tables from Kristina Dam Studio, all contribute to the cabin's unique and stylish aesthetic.

Garsdal, who is not only the owner but also the photographer of this charming cabin, is a jewellery designer by trade. Her stationery design skills are also on display, with thoughtful and stylish touches throughout the cabin.

Located in the heart of Copenhagen, Denmark, this cabin on Fejø island is a hidden gem that embodies the Scandinavian design philosophy: simplicity, functionality, and nature-inspired elements, all coming together to create a home that is both timeless and treasured.

The cabin's interior design aligns with a lifestyle that values simplicity, functionality, and nature-inspired elements, integrating modern Scandinavian design brands like Muuto and Hay. The home-and-garden space, which includes a PAX closet from IKEA, boasts a distinctive aesthetic enhanced by Jotex rugs, Kristina Dam Studio mirror coffee tables, and Sidsel Garsdal's personal photography.
