Connections between organizations hold significant appeal
The Association Companion RBK project is a new initiative aimed at supporting and strengthening the work of associations in the Rheinisch-Bergisch district (RBK) in Germany. This project, designed to enhance organizational capacities and community impact, offers a range of services and resources to associations in the region.
How it Aims to Support Association Work
The project provides consultation and guidance to association members and leaders, helping them navigate challenges related to management, member engagement, funding, and event organization. It also organizes training sessions and workshops, tailored to the needs of associations, on topics such as leadership development, volunteer management, digitalization, and legal issues.
By fostering cooperation among different associations within the district, the project promotes exchange of experiences, partnership formation, and collective problem-solving. It also provides up-to-date information on funding programs, legal regulations, and community developments that are relevant for associations.
In addition, the project supports associations in adopting digital tools to streamline their administration and communication, thereby enhancing their efficiency and outreach. Over time, a knowledge database accessible to all will be created, along with synergies through networking.
Kick-off Meeting and Future Events
The project was officially launched with a successful kick-off meeting on an undisclosed date. More than 30 representatives from various associations in the RBK participated in the event, which was moderated by Michael Müller, a certified association companion, along with a team of supporters.
The first meeting was a great success, with both organizers and participants satisfied and looking forward to the project's start. The next event in the series is scheduled for June 30, 2021, at 6:00 PM as a video conference, with the topic "How can I improve my board work?"
Expert Guidance and Sharing of Experiences
The kick-off meeting featured Mr. Schröder, a dedicated association companion from Bottrop, as a guest speaker. He shared his experiences from the early stages of association accompaniment in Bottrop, providing valuable insights and inspiration for the participants.
