Community Gathering in Friedrichstadt Neighborhood: Event Celebrating the Local Community under the Theme "By Our Hood - For Our Hood"
Get ready for a day of community spirit and sustainable initiatives as the Friedrichstadt Neighborhood Festival is set to take place on the 5th of July. The event will span three locations across the neighbourhood, with the church square serving as the main hub.
The day's activities will kick off at midday, welcoming various social and sustainable civic initiatives to set up their information stands. A long coffee table will be placed in the middle of a closed street, encouraging neighbours to extend the common table and connect with one another.
Open market stalls will ensure physical well-being, while the festival will also feature a variety of games, music, and interactive activities to keep everyone entertained.
Other organisations participating in the festival include Kulturliste, "Hallo Nachbar", and the Action Table for Good Neighbourhood. The latter will be set up at the three locations, providing an opportunity for neighbours to borrow items or seek assistance.
Catella will be on hand to inform attendees about their long-term construction site KoTower, and the community's winter playground for children aged 0-4 will be open for young visitors.
From 15 to approximately 17 o'clock, activities will be held in front of the Rheinkirche on Luisenstraße 40-55. The Samba-Percussion group will perform at all three locations, adding a lively rhythm to the festivities.
The engineering office Lindschulte will provide an update on the construction site situation at the church square, and the Repair Café team will be present to give a second chance to small electrical devices.
The DRK center plus at Jahnstraße 47 will offer a range of activities from 13:30 to 15:30, including Kamishibai storytelling theater, a guided tour through the interactive garden, Viking chess, and children's games.
An exhibition in the rooms of the Rheinkirche will complete the program, and the Pfadfinderstamm 23 of the Royal Rangers will set up their tent and invite children aged 4 to 12 to join in the fun.
For those who enjoy cycling, bike rides will be offered, starting at the three stations. Additionally, a neighbourhood cleanup will start on the church square from 14 o'clock.
