Cafe NeuHaus resumes operations post summer vacation with an upgraded approach
On September 22, the social café of SkF Ingolstadt, located at Josef-Strobl-Platz, will open its doors to the public. The café, known as Café NeuHaus, has been refined over the summer break and will continue its cooperation with the local food bank.
Café NeuHaus, nestled in the heart of Ingolstadt's old town, next to the SkF business office, near the social town hall, and in the neighbourhood of the Ingolstadt food bank, offers a space for peace and exchange. Operated by the Catholic Women's Social Service in Ingolstadt, the café is run exclusively by volunteers.
Initially, Café NeuHaus was exclusive to women in imminent or acute housing need. However, from September 22, it will be open to everyone. The volunteers at the café provide service, lead group offers, and are there to listen to guests. They can also refer guests to professional consultants in the field of family and life counseling.
Social-pedagogical counseling at Café NeuHaus can address topics such as housing, job search, administrative matters, life structure, conflict resolution, and the strengthening of competencies. The café's new motto is "together - for each other".
Café NeuHaus offers warm and cold drinks, as well as homemade cake, against a donation. SkF's long-standing network is used for concrete support, including setting up a personal postal address for people without a fixed address.
From September 2022, events at Café NeuHaus will be operated by a local association or organizer, but the specific name could not be found in the search results for events in Café NeuHaus from September 2022.
Café NeuHaus deepens its cooperation with the food bank in the future, but further details about this collaboration were not provided. The café's hours of operation and the services offered beyond September 22 were also not specified in the article.
