Busworld Europe 2025: Major Players Showcase Electric Buses and Commit to Sustainability

Busworld Europe 2025 in Brussels, held from October 4 to 9, has seen a significant focus on electrification and alternative fuels. Major players like MAN Truck & Bus, Alfabus, and Iveco Bus showcased their latest electric offerings, highlighting the industry's commitment to sustainability.

The event, spanning 82,000 square metres and featuring nearly 550 exhibitors from 40 countries, has put the spotlight on the coach and intercity bus markets. MAN Truck & Bus premiered the fully electric MAN Lion’s Coach 14 E, a long-range electric coach for up to 63 passengers, marking a significant step in their zero-emission strategy.

IVECO BUS presented the electric eDAILY LE low-entry minibus and the G-WAY midibus, compatible with biomethane. The event also saw Karsan unveiling its new Autonomous e-JEST and Otokar demonstrating two autonomous vehicles. Meanwhile, Daimler Buses introduced the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro, its first series-production electric intercity bus, and new NMC4 batteries for the eCitaro range.

The 2025 edition of Busworld Europe, with 284 buses and coaches on display from 81 manufacturers, underscores the industry's dedication to decarbonisation. The focus on electric and alternative fuel vehicles, along with digital technologies, signals a shift towards more sustainable and efficient public transportation.
