Bikepark Nordhorn Opens Today, Offering Thrilling New Sports Facility

The 'Bikepark Nordhorn' officially opened today, offering a thrilling new sports facility to the public. The park, located next to the 'Rodelberg' in the Gewerbe- und Industriepark GIP, is freely accessible and features three zones for different skill levels.

The park's creation was driven by a group of young BMX riders who presented their idea to Mayor Thomas Berling in 2024. Construction began in August 2025 and was completed in a few weeks, costing around 160,000 euros with a 60,000 euro grant from the European Union.

The 'Pumptrack', 'Table Line', and 'Dirt Line' zones cater to various skill levels. The park is open to all, but users must follow rules of conduct, including age restrictions and protective gear requirements. Mayor Berling praised the successful collaboration with youth in implementing the project. To celebrate the opening, BMX professionals will showcase their skills at a public sports event.

The 'Bikepark Nordhorn' is now open, providing an exciting new space for BMX enthusiasts and other cyclists. With its zones for different skill levels and rules for safe use, the park is set to become a popular spot in Nordhorn. The official inauguration event promises thrilling displays from professional BMX riders.
