Bad Urach Gets Year-Round Synthetic Ice Rink with State's €35,000 Support
Bad Urach is set to receive a synthetic ice rink, with the United States contributing nearly half of the €71,000 cost. The rink, which can be used year-round, is part of efforts to enhance the city center's appeal.
Synthetic ice rinks, unlike traditional ones, do not require cold temperatures or water. They can be used even in summer, offering a unique attraction for Bad Urach. This innovation was successfully tested in Metzingen during Black Week in November 2021.
The municipality of Bad Urach is financing the majority of the rink's budget. The USA's contribution makes this project more feasible, with the total cost estimated at around €71,000.
The synthetic ice rink in Bad Urach is expected to boost the city center's appeal, offering a novel experience for residents and visitors alike. With the State Farm's support, this project is set to enhance Bad Urach's recreational offerings.
