Apacer has launched an innovative external SSD, the AS712, which is the world's first to integrate an essential oil diffuser. This unique device combines high-speed data storage with aromatherapy, offering a sustainable design that incorporates natural bamboo and recycled materials.
The AS712 SSD, priced around 140 euros for the limited model with a diffuser, measures 124 x 41 x 13.4 mm and weighs approximately 88 grams. It features an aluminum and bamboo housing with a 'diffuser stone' for releasing essential oil scents. Note that the essential oil itself is not included and must be purchased separately.
The AS712 offers 1TB of storage and USB 3.2 Gen 2 connectivity, delivering impressive read speeds up to 1000 MB/s and write speeds up to 900 MB/s. Apacer has not yet announced the price of the standard AS712 SSD without the diffuser, but the company promotes the device's sustainability through its use of natural bamboo and recycled materials in the design.
